Merry Christmas! How about building yourself a Christmas Hat?!

Merry Christmas to all from Tokyo!
It’s been a very busy few months here at Wild Tame Co., Ltd, but also some of the most exciting months ever since moving to Japan over 6 years ago.

In 2015 I’ll be making more regular updates about the projects I’m doing, and putting more time than ever into making some of the world’s craziest wearable machines to help spread smiles and laughter wherever I go!

One project I’ve been involved in is the creation of a new website to support developers and makers to use the new Intel Edison micro computer. This tiny device has a full Linux operating system on it, plus built-in bluetooth and wifi – making it the perfect wearable computer to put in my Christmas hat!

The hat comes complete with 180 LEDs whose colour can be controlled via any web browser, and a motorised mobile that has two little Christmas elves spinning around the top!

My post explaining how to make it has just gone live in time for Christmas – do check it out!

Edison Lab: Let’s Make an Edison-powered Christmas Hat! (Japanese only)

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and all the best for a very happy 2015!

Merry Christmas Hat!

(Thanks to Sashiki-san for the photo taken at the ekiden the other day!)
