This morning I took part in Run311 – an international movement raising money for the ongoing recover in Tohoku, whilst also serving to commemorate those who were lost in the disaster; next Wednesday is the 4th anniversary.
I first heard about Run311 when I visited Itnav in Ishinomaki last month and met the founder, Takayuki Furuyama-san, a really inspiring entrepreneur who’s doing a lot for the community.
Was great to get out running again, my first run since last month’s marathon. I modified my helmet for this event, adding an extra happy big wind turbine to help combat the light rain. Really nice group of runners, great to make new friends!
