One project I’ve been involved in is the creation of a new website to support developers and makers to use the new Intel Edison micro computer. This tiny device has a full Linux operating system on it, plus built-in bluetooth and wifi – making it the perfect wearable computer to put in my Christmas hat!
The hat comes complete with 180 LEDs whose colour can be controlled via any web browser, and a motorised mobile that has two little Christmas elves spinning around the top!
Inspired by Bill Gates’ Ice Bucket challenge video to create an ultra-compact mobile wearable Ice Bucket Challenge Machine
In 2013 I was asked to take Part in Peeta Planet, a social TV travel series broadcast on Dubai One and associated networks across the region
Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet was in Japan recently as part of an Asia Tech Week, covering robots and runners
What happens when you strap a bunch of windmills to your head and run the wrong way around the Imperial Palace?
During the height of the Ustream boom in Japan I was called upon by TBS to share my thoughts on the potential of this technology.
When stopped by reporters for the popular Saturday morning TV show Zip: Zoom in Saturday, my love of technology was laid bare for all to see.
Following the successful completion of the Nike Run Like Me campaign, Wieden + Kennedy Tokyo put together this video
The idea of my running 100m for every ‘Like’ Nike Running Japan received on Facebook started out as a joke – but then somehow became a reality.
Another ambition realised: to use my iRun machine to provide national broadcaster NHK with a mobile live video stream!
Another ambition fulfilled – to meet and be interviewed by Leo Laporte, founder of the TWiT network.
